8 Weeks Old and smiling!

7 Weeks Old- voting time!

On the boys' 7 week birthday we had local elections so they were officially the youngest and cutest voters in the precinct!

6 Weeks Old!

When the boys turned six weeks old, they started being much more alert and staying awake longer during the day. They also started smiling on purpose, which made it much harder to get anything done except stare at them all day!

Applesauce snuggling up with her baby Dominic before I shooed her off the blanket. The dogs are so good with the babies- very calm and not jealous at all. But we don't actually let them sleep with the babies, we just thought it was a cute picture for a minute :)

5 Weeks Old & Family Photos

The boys were 5 weeks old before we knew it. Time had flown by so fast that we wanted to make sure that we had some photos taken of all of us before they got any bigger! Melissa, I have some of these pictures that I will be mailing to you also. I put some of the pictures together in a slide show with music. We hope you enjoy it!

The big baby news of the week: guess who rolled over for the first time? This guy!

Mr. Derek decided that he'd had enough of tummy time and just rolled right over onto his back!

4 weeks old!

It just so happened that the boys' one month check-up was exactly on their 4 week birthday so we were able to get their stats when they were exactly 4 weeks old. We had thought they were evening out in size and knew they were getting big, but boy were we surprised!

They weighed 6 lbs, 14 oz and were 20 inches long- each! They were exactly the same size, weight, and head circumference, which the nurse said was the first time she's ever seen that happen, even with twins. 

Here are some highlights from that week!

And my parents said goodbye to the boys and headed home to Tennessee after spending two weeks with them. Everyone was sad to see them go!
